Shards

Such a bitter sting,
Pulling out shards of everything.
Every cursed day and every damned night.
All that raged tucked away inside and all that fear tucked away from sight.
One by one.
Break.
Break it from your skin.
Release it all in a fit of anger and ecstasy.
One
By
One.
Hacking away at your insides,
Wreaking devastation through the physical.
One sad, dry-eyed husk, bearing fissures from the shards they bore into you.
